Stages of a KTEO Inspection
1. Identity Check
Verification of chassis number, engine number, color, and lighting alignment with registration.
2. Exhaust Gas Control
Verification of vehicle emissions within permissible limits.
3. Alignment Check
Measurement of front axle convergence or divergence.
4. Shock Absorbers Control
Assessment of shock absorber performance using appropriate tools.
5. Brake Control
Measurement of overall braking performance and parking brake efficiency, along with wheel force differential per axle.
6. Lights Control
Measurement of intensity and focus for dipped and main beam lights.
7. Visual Inspection
Visual checks for steering, suspension, braking, and exhaust systems for any looseness, leaks, or damage in an inspection pit.
